Water Purifier Pump with Replaceable Carbon 0.01 Micron -Virus and Heavy Metal Tested Water Perk, 4 Perk Stages, Portable Outdoor Emergency and Survival Gear - Camping, Hiking, Backpacking

I decided to get this filter to see about the extra carbon filter stage. I own five of the survivor filter pro (one for each member) and many 0.01 filter straws (as back up/extra filter)also a group Diecron filter. Its a good quality and filters well. As with other filters I like to use it as a gravity filter by using a container at a higher level than the collection one and using the pump to start the siphon its not nessary but is an extra step to prolong filter life. I will also put a filter straw inline if I think the water is to dirty. The only problem is the pouch is not the best quality since it does not effect the filter quality I did not mark it down a star.

The size is OK for carrying and it looks pretty solid. The extra filter is so sweet. What I need to do is connect with the tubes, so convenient. Will try it for next camping.

I have a cabin in the woods that we go to in the winter, but we have to hike a few miles back to get there. I wanted to be able to pull water from the lake to drink to save some weight. This product did everything I needed it to do, and it was lightweight and easy to use. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pumping was not as fast as they claimed, and the hose didn't quite fit.

Bought this to use in the backcountry during elk camp. Worked good and was easy to pack

Looked tiny compared to my Katydyne from years ago, but impressed me so much, my sons will be getting "Christmas presents"!!!

Not worth the money. Pumping water into a bottle takes way too much work and time. This was with crystal clear lake and stream water. It took an average of 5+ minutes to fill a 20 oz bottle and by the end of 8 bottles worth only a trickle of water was being filtered and the pump had so much back pressure I was sweating more water than I was filtering. We were not left on a 42 mile trail hike at pictured Rocks with only water tablets. Hope I can get my money back.

My 6 year old happily filled our water bottles for the first 2 uses. After that, I could barely use the pump. It tightened up and such little water came out. We didn't use it again on our trip, and now it will sit in the back of my closet. Unfortunately, too late to return.
