Out of all the furniture I ever bought online, this was by far the best choice... Both in quality and price! I seriously have one of these rugs in every room of my house now. I ordered the 6-7 x 9' rug in Turquoise on 01/17/16 for $129 w/FREE Shipping. It was delivered in pristine condition less than a week later. Although it was a risk to buy a rug without seeing first in person, I was very happy with the outcome and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality yet affordable shag carpet. In fact, I've purchased several other rugs like this in various colors/sizes and have found them all to be of the same high quality.APPEARANCE | This rug is absolutely gorgeous. The pile is just the right length and the shag is has a comfortable cushy texture that also looks amazing. It's all over soft and cozy and is the perfect area for performing my daily yoga routine. The material is thick, heavy (in a good way) and feels luxurious. My family members and guests love to sit on it. I've received many compliments (fromboth males and females of varying ages) and it seems like everyone who enters the house is drawn to sitting on it!SHEDDING | It hardly sheds (only 4 or 5 threads fell out over the 1st month). I rarely find any loose threads. It's held up well to vacuuming, even with a Shop Vac.STAINING/CLEANING | The rug is resistant to staining and spot cleans easily. Unlike virtually everything else in my house, it doesn't attract fur from my large German Shepard (who also loves to lay on it)! It's also "kid-friendly," meaning that it's easy to keep clean and durable.COMPETITION | I spent a lot of time researching shag rugs on Amazon, Wayfair, and Overstock.com prior to going with this one. Sweet Home brand was by far the best priced... It had a lot of positive reviews and I feel they were accurate. I'll definitely continue to buy from Sweet Home brand.COLOR | The Turquoise is true to color, just as pictured. It's a light turquoise... Definitely NOT teal or baby blue. It's been easy to match with other turquoise-colored decor. I also have the Trellis Design in Charcoal-Cream. It's an attractive dark grey, definitely not black or blue, and the cream is... well, cream. I also have one in the lighter grey (also trellis design). It's best described as a neutral, maybe slightly cool toned (as opposed to warm) grey and the trellis pattern is also a light-medium cream.PLACEMENT | This huge rug rolled out nicely and stays in place. It's didn't buckle or roll up on itself, even on the 1st day. Note that I have one over carpet, one on wood flooring, and the others over tile. They retain their grip well on each type of surface and I do NOT use any rug pads under them.COORDINATION | This rug adds visual interest to the room in terms of color and texture. Since I decorate with lots of white, silver, grey and clear lucite pieces, the turquoise prevents the room from looking sterile or drab. In order to tie in the vibrant color, I ordered some faux fur pillow covers in turquoise from the Euphoria CaliTime brand. The color isn't exact but it's close enough and looks awesome. (Sweet Home also makes a faux fur pillow in turquoise which appears to be an exact match but I passed on it as the cover is not detachable and I like to have the ability to wash them.) The overall look has major swag! It's chick, yet inviting and comfortable.INSPECT | When I bought a 2nd rug (the Trellis design in Charcoal/Cream), I ordered it in 6'7" x 9'3" but received one that was 4'11" 6'8." I advise other buyers to inspect the size and confirm it's accurate upon arrival. The seller was SUPER cool about correcting the issue and even allowed me to keep the smaller-sized rug. I found this to be great customer service as returning a rug is NOT an easy task. Therefore, in the event that you do not receive the correct size or color, I urge you to NOT flip out and leave a nasty review.... Give them an opportunity to correct the issue first. Hopefully you'll have a positive experience like I did. 😊

Many people who wrote reviews failed to indicate the color they bought. This is important because one color may have more shade variation than another, even texture variation. I bought solid light grey.Color: Seems darker to me than the pics, and darker than I wanted since my walls are light grey (see pic), but I suppose any stains/traffic marks will not show up as easy and it brings some needed contrast to the room. There are no other colored strands mixed in like white or black, it's all solid grey, and it's grey from any angle, not blue or silver. Shinier than I'd prefer, but I think that's the way the material comes. A few strands come off during unpacking but not nearly enough to be concerning.Texture: I wouldn't consider this rug rough. I think it is comfortable under bare feet, though it won't get much of that kind of use, and I don't expect to be sleeping on it or rolling around on it. I don't have pets and even if I did I wouldn't buy a $200 8x10 rug just for them. If they didn't like it they have the rest of the wood floor. If your cat wouldn't go on it would you really pack it back up and return it? Has there ever been a rug a cat or dog wouldn't sleep on? I haven't vacuumed it yet so I cannot comment on that but it is shag and high pile so it probably won't be easy. Heavy sturdy backing. Did not buy an under pad. The rug has furniture on it so it isn't going to move about.Odor: Surprised at the number of people commenting on rug odor. Have you never purchased a new car or new rug before, or your parents never did when you were a child? I kind of like a new rug smell myself. I did not find it overwhelming or objectionable. I opened the plastic and let it air out for a day before putting it down. I also lit a scented candle just for giggles.Ripples: There are a few obvious "waves" in the rug which I'm sure will flatten out over time but again, not objectionable.Overall: Rug seems good quality, not lightweight, looks nice, pleased with purchase and would recommend it. It definitely brings something to the room and I know will yield positive comments (no, I don't work for the rug maker!). Shipped sealed in heavy plastic wrapping which was completely intact when I received it. I looked at a lot of solid grey rugs and I felt this one was the best based on the reviews and pics. Price was a little more than I wanted to pay but better to pay a bit more and be pleased than spend less and be disappointed and stuck with it. The $5.99 shipping cost was rather silly. It definitely cost more than that to ship this so it would seem the rest of the shipping cost was included in the rug price. Why not just include the entire shipping cost? And if it really did cost $5.99 then why not offer free shipping since it was well above the minimum price to qualify for free shipping.

I purchased this product a couple years ago and again this year. We do not have pets, but have 4 children, so it gets plenty of traffic.The newest one is bigger, but not as thick as the first smaller size. It also felt slippery/squeeky and I don't remember that with my first purchase. It seemed like the material changed, as well as the density unless it's due to the size.I was disappointed but gave it a couple weeks and vacuumed it daily. It changed in time to be softer and no longer squeeky. I vacuum both rugs, they do not shed and vacuum well (I have a Kirby).I need something easy to maintain as well as soft enough to sit on. This rug fits all our needs, especially as it wears in over time. I would purchase it again.

This rug was too big for what I needed (totally my fault) and was not as soft as I was expecting. I returned it.

Absolutely perfect for what I wanted.This rug is for the mancave/cinemacave/dark room & it's ideal. The floor in there is laminated so it's cold, all the damn time, always cold. It's not a huge room & I didn't want to carpet it because it's not required so a large rug is what was needed.The rug itself is soft, not like, super deep shag pile that you sink into soft, but soft enough that it feels nice on bare feet. The colour is pretty bang on to the picture aswell which is sometimes not the case.It's been down for a couple of months now & there are no signs of wear & tear, even with an office chair rolling over it. It's also remained perfectly flat with no curling edges.If you are in need of a low cost rug that has the look of something of a far higher price tag, then you won't go wrong here.

Literally amazing. So much better than I thought it would be for the price. Had it almost a week now and I'm still pleased. It hasn't shed at all which I was half expecting. Would definitely purchase again if I ever need another one.And the dog has decided it's her new bed so win/win really! Highly recommend...!

Huge and lush. Picture does not do it justice. A BIG PLUS is that dog hair lifts from it's deep pile instantly with a vacuum rather than sticking the way it used to stick on my flat pile rug. For reducing my household cleaning by about fifteen minutes it gets a massive thumbs up. If the dog ever moves I might get chance to describe how nice it is to lie on.

was a bit sceptical but quality so far is good and it sits on my wooden laminate floor without sliding around (it does also run under settee so is weighted down), feels great underfoot also !

Good and reasonably priced. Only bad thing is it loses its fluffy look quite quickly and it slides around on a wooden floor massively. If you do buy this I would recommend purchasing an anti slip mat to put under this.
