This Barrier Does the Job Well: Some Tweaks Needed...
Pros:-Sturdy construction-Does the job and keeps the mutts out of the front seat-You can see through it, but maybe not to the degree to look through to backup.Cons:-Putting this in your car is not an easy feat. It may even be a two-person job. If you expect to take this down after every doggy ride, it may get cumbersome.-I do not like the bottom straps. You have to wrap around the seat base and the cable is really small. Bungee straps should have been used instead.-The cost of this unit was around $50, I think it is overpriced by $10.Summary:-I like the construction of this unit. If you have a dog who is nuts, like mine, it will keep them from breaking containment from the back seat. Putting this in and out of the car is time consuming. You have to use the top clip/straps on the headrest and then put the very small cable around each seat post. I found it frustrating. If you plan on keeping this up all the time in your car, it is probably not as big of a concern. For me, I ended up using bungee straps on the top and bottom, so I can set it up in a few minutes. Also, depending on your doggie's penchant for jumping over your barrier, you may have to adjust it higher. Lastly, I found 50 clams for this unit to be a bit pricey. Overall, this ultimately does the job.

Much Safer now
This was kind of pricey for what it is but it’s definitely keeping me and the dog safe. I chose this for the metal bar in the structure. I didn’t feel any of the other options of net type material would be good enough when he’s over 100 lbs and strong. The other options of full metal bars would have been way too expensive. When we would go over rumble strips, the dog would freak out and jump to front seat and be close to the shifter. He can’t do that now and I can go on trips without the worry. I do also have the seat protector for dogs rigged over it too for the extra barrier. I can’t speak to how it would be without this additionally… as he may try to go under the barrier if not but there are ties that would attach under the front seats

Easy to set up
Easy to set up. Did a pretty good job of keeping our 45 lb dog in the back seat. I could not get the product to sit as high as it appears to in the picture and it blocks my rear view mirror (as in all I can see in my rear view is the top bar). I have also found that it tends to slip down as it stays in the car. Started to slip down after about 2 weeks of having it constantly in the car. If you don't keep the two front seats in the same position, it does offset a little, making it a little less effective. Pretty good product for the price, though.

Kept my huskie out of the front seat!
We wish we had ordered this 3 years ago and made traveling in the car much easier! This dog barrier is exactly what we needed and it worked great! We have a Porsche suv and it fit great and kept him in the back seat. the mesh was breathable and the air still flowed and he could still see us. We didnt attach the bottom strings to anything and he did try to nudge his nose up under the very bottom. We will figure out where to tie those off next time. We didnt even know it was there, not in our way at all! I recommend this, we have 2 huskies.

Less expensive, better options available
This is one of 3 products I ordered to try to keep our lab mix out of the front seat of our Lx590, and it was the LEAST EFFECTIVE. Not only is the installation awkward, it just doesn’t work. The height is limited to the height of the headrest and the straps not only makes it look cheesy, they slipped off making them useless. The tubing makes it too rigid, making moving either of the front seats an issue. I would not recommend this product and will be returning it.

DIFFICULT TO INSTALL IN VEHICLE AND KEEP IT IN PLACE.
I like the padded frame and simple frame installation into the netting. They give you 4 adjustable straps to attach baracade to your headrests. BUT, you need to get really creative in order to keep the nylon web straps from sliding around the smooth corners of the frame, allowing baracade to move around. Would be nice if there was a stop/ring or something welded to the inside radius of each corner.

Have to make adjustments
Pros: Easy to assemble, quality material, kept my dog in the backseat once I made adjustments to the product.Cons: Product does not work if you use it as it's meant to be installed like in the photo. My dog (golden retriever) had no problem pushing through the bottom mesh, breaking the flimsy strings holding it down. Instead, I installed the product vertical and my dog can't get through now!!

works great
easy to assemble . installation take a bit of paitence to get the straps set up right . once installed doe not move and keeps my pet in the back seat . has a see through screen in the top so you will be able to look out the rear view mirror . I like it .

Good idea, awkward execution
I really love that this barrier is easily installed/removed and that it does prevent the dogs I drive around from getting into the front. (I was using seat belts before, but some dogs were wily enough to disengage them and try to climb up front.) The mesh is easy to see through but sturdy enough that the husky doesn't grab it and pull it down.Unfortunately, if your car's headrests don't go up high enough, then the bar at the top will absolutely be in your way when you're looking in the rear view mirror or over your shoulder. I drive a small sedan, so while the barrier is the right width, I wish the frame was slightly longer so it would be closer to the ceiling and not right where I need to be watching for cars. As it is, I only use it for very short trips and then unbuckle it when not moving dogs.
