I Love to Eat: Deluxe Touch-and-Feel (Spanish and French Edition)

10 month old loves it
Our family is a bit unusual in that we want to teach our kids Spanish, French, and English. It's pretty rare to find any sort of material that supports this. This book has one object per page, but on each page there is something of a different texture that makes it interesting to touch. The pages are quite solid cardboard (and they have to be in order to support the textured inserts). On each page is the name of the object written in English, French, and Spanish.I actually don't like books that have just a picture and word per page (no story). I think it's an enormous waste of space and I was pretty hesitant to spend money on something like this. Despite my original opinions, however, my infant (~10 months) really loves it, and that's all that really matters. He'll turn the pages back and forth, babbling happily and grabbing at the pictures. In fact, I had never seen him turn pages until we got this book, and now he's doing it all the time. He's even produced a consistent babble to refer to these books (we purchased the other one by the same author "I love to sleep").So when I ordered this, I was pretty iffy about it, but it immediately became one our son's favorites. I think the textured pages is a brilliant idea, and the thickness of the pages allow little, uncoordinated fingers to grasp and turn them. I guess I was wrong, the author may be something of a genius. Merci beaucoup!

Awesome book, but Spanish isn’t perfect for everyone.
As a multilingual family, we love looking for books like this, featuring various languages that we speak. This is perfect for my nephew, who is still young and will enjoy the textures featured on each page. I only give it four stars because the translations may not be perfect if you speak Spanish from Mexico. I’m not sure which Spanish was used to translate, but a few of the words are not used by my family. We speak Spanish well, though, so we’ll just be substituting in the words we do know.

Bueno!
Really fun book for my baby who loves tactile/sensory books. I also love this because I can read it to my son in Spanish and my husband can read it to him in French.

We love these books - both the "love to eat" and "love to sleep." Unlike a lot of other touch-and-feel books, these have large textured areas with cloth, etc. for the baby to grasp at. They're beautifully bound and the artwork is lovely. Highly recommend.
