Not Pure Beeswax—Paraffin! BEWARE!
This is NOT 100% pure beeswax. It melts like paraffin and does not spread easily when used in making body salves. I use beeswax all the time and it has NEVER turned out like this. You cannot even spread it into your skin.Horrible! False advertising.

... read product reviews before purchase and everything was looking pretty good. Well
I always read product reviews before purchase and everything was looking pretty good. Well, maybe my order is just "that one" because I am not impressed with this at all. The pellets melt well and all, but hello horribly wretched, foul burning rubber, chemical smell. The stench overpowered any of the precious essential oil I used and I feel like everything was a waste! Its unusable. I even removed the pellets into a mesh basket where they could air out of the packaging for a while. One week later and they're as stink stank as the day I opened them.P.U.Thumbs down.

Off, but usable?
When I opened the bag the scent really hit me, and it is not pleasant; it's only redeemed slightly in that it doesn't seem to emit it once melted or when used in a candle. It's plastic-y, chemical-y, with a hint of the negative aspects of very peaty scotch (all the bad parts of burnt rubber/ wood?) and certainly none of the usual beeswax smell (though I don't know how much expecting that would be reasonable in a more filtered product, expecting something more neutral _is_ reasonable). I'll have to see if it airs out well, though as this would introduce dust it somewhat defeats the point of ordering white beeswax for most people; this would be lessened indoors, but anyone who cares about the smell would not be airing this out in their house. When removed from the bag and spread out in small quantities at least, there is minimal smell; I'm unsure if working with it in any larger quantity will necessarily bring the smell with it. I may have just gone nose blind to the smell in smaller doses, but thankfully have a good open space to work in.Seems brittle and difficult to work, but I haven't been able to melt them fully into a shape yet; I made a quick and dirty candle to test the ability to shape it when close to the melting point, and it did not have any positive aspects there. It did seem more pliable once fully melted and rehardened, but I'm less sure about that; I was less able to shape the wax in any form like I would usually expect out of beeswax (even just with body heat/ between the fingers), crumbling instead of bending even under a decent amount of heat. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say this could be due to the particular pellet format. The candle was pretty smokeless (the wick gave me minor issues), which is in its favor.I will say that I have little experience with different sorts of wax, especially in pastille form, let alone working with beeswax (occasionally mixing it with other stuff, which I've previously just melted blocks for), let alone white beeswax (I'm unsure if there should be any material differences). It seems like I'll have to melt this fully, outdoors, in order to test it further, and then use it in a number of different ways. I am unqualified to judge types of wax or quality, but it does seem a bit off to me. I'll report back when I've used it/ melted portions more completely to do smell and brittleness tests, and as it is it could still be marked down more. _If_ there are further problems, I won't necessarily jump to the conclusion that it isn't beeswax like the other reviewers, but will assume that there is some sort of quality or production or storage error.Even if the smell is completely removed during/ from the melt, it will continue to be a negative mark on the product because most consumers will be wanting to use this stuff in say their kitchen; I can't see why your average person would choose white pellet shaped beeswax that smells bad and will make their house smell bad over yellow block beeswax that smells lovely, even if there is slightly more work involved. This alone will limit it to 3 stars, even if the material properties improve after being reformed (because everyone is going to melt this stuff in this format). I debated giving it 2 stars, but I like giving benefit of the doubt.

Very very bad seller
Package arrived and bag of wax is only half full and contains 1lb instead of 2lb. Bag is still factory sealed and labeled 32oz (2lb), clearly Stakich needs to work on their QA processes.

toxic
I open this bag of Bees Wax to make lotion bars out of and the smell is toxic. these CANNOT be a natural product. I was hoping the smell came from the bag, but it did not! THey smell like petroleum oil! I have tried to contact the company but can't find a way to do so. My suggestion is to not buy this product, but it is your choice to make but be warned.
