Take the chance and try it for yourself.
I admit I’m a big review reader but you can’t always believe what you read and sometimes you just have to take a chance. So, I have a 2020 Tacoma and I purchased an antenna hood bracket from another company. It was nice because it made my dual band HAM antenna look almost stock. However, the base of the antenna sat almost two inches below the hood line and caused some immediate ground plane issues. My initial SWR testing was showing 9:1 using high quality, low loss cable and the fancy hood bracket mount. I looked around for a solution that would increase the height off of the hood bracket since I liked the idea and had already dropped $30 plus on that mount. I came across several ideas similar to this Bingfu mount that were easily 5 times the price and couldn’t justify it, especially if my idea didn’t work. Long short of it is that I received this mount and removed the bolt on the bottom that holds the mounting clip. This left me with about a 1.5 inch extension. I removed the NMO connection from my fancy hood bracket and bolted this unit to the hood bracket with a stainless steel nut/ bolt. I cleaned both surfaces of paint to ensure a solid connection in the contacts. I added the NMO connection to the Bingfu unit and tightened everything down, testing for ground continuity and finding no issues. Now, the true test was SWR and this is where it was a mix. I still have some tuning to do, but my SWR on VHF is now 1:3 and UHF is at 2:1. Not bad at all considering where I started. I have had no issues with wobbling loose but I only have one pivot point now that I removed the factory base connection. Finish seems well covered and matches my black truck well. Overall I’m quite pleased and glad I took a chance on this part before spending 5 times as much to most likely get the same result.

Not solid.
Don't bother. Mount will not stay in place even after huge amount of torque applied to the swiveling portion.3ft cb antenna moves quite a bit even after a short use period.

Not the best quality.
Broke in 1 month. Do not put on your vehicle if you go off-road. It will not hold up.

This unit will not stay up at highway speeds.
The good news is, you do not have to get out of your car to put your antenna down. Just bumping the garage door frame will push this little puppy right down to clearance level. Or you could use your #2 pencil, if it is beyond your reach.
