It works, good price too
To buy all the ingredients to make this product like I was doing cost a fortune. I used this during the big drought we had last month and then watered it in, for the whole month I had the only green lawn on the street. I was out mowing 2 times a week, laying down mean stripes during the 90 degree weather while all my neighbors had crispy brown lawns. Can’t complain, I actually just bought another to put down after all the rain stops so it survives the next drought!

Just applied last night; it’s a lil stinky (lol)
Super easy to attach to hose & apply. Has a plastic knob and a safety latch- - the safety latch is extremely awkward (& short!)- - there has to be a better design than this one! It was challenging to depress the safety tab & rotate knob to ON while holding it & the hose (just forget it if you have long nails!). Also no matter what I tried, when removing bottle from hose, I couldnt get the bottle to not spray out the remaining fertilizer (its kinda pressurized) and so of course you end up with some stinky fertilizer on your clothes, arm/hand, AND face (ugggh). Applied it to grass in the afternoon & watered it in; it was smelly during application, but seems to have faded away & has no lingering stink. **Will update after a few more days if it has improved the grass color & health. So I bought this to help bring back the green color & encourage growth on my backyard lawn. In April I applied a lawn seed&feed after cutting/scratching/aerating my lawn. That stuff worked great! bcuz my grass grew rapidly…too rapidly! for me (was too busy with work/appts/social events) & even tried to get a gardener in to power mow the grass (I use a manual push mower) when it became 14” tall! but he couldn’t come out for another 2wks & it grew another 12”, then started collapsing on itself (which I knew meant the grass underneath would start yellowing/dying…& it did; sad) So after finally getting the grass cut down, it was very unhappy & looked worse than winter lawn. So I started looking for more fertilizer/nutrients & decided to try this one. Will post pics with before & after

Truly Amazed by this stuff!
Two major trees were cut in my yard and with the current weather conditions being temps ranging from upper 90's into 100's I was worried about the grass and plants that were used to having shade/shelter from the sun in intense heat. I applied Drought Defender Sunday evening when it arrived, applied then watered as directed, heat was 99 Monday, 104 Tuesday, and it's already pushing into 90's this morning and not even an Impatient leaf has wilted whereas before I was watering twice a day! The grass is green and vibrant, the hostas strong and flowering, not a limp or dead leaf anywhere!!! Firmly a new Turf Titan devotee!!!

So far so good
I applied 4 weeks ago and we had rain occasionally. But it has been dry and very hot again for 10 days and it seems to be keeping my lawn from scorching even with no watering, especially in the shadier areas. So, so far so good. I may order a gallon and reuse the original quart hose container. Oh, when the bottle gets low it stops adding the concentrate to the hose water, just take the tape off and unscrew and add some water and you can use the rest, its just more diluted.

Application Instructions
Many of the reviews I read were user error, I’m sure of it! I followed the instructions: 5oz of concentrated drought product per one gallon water. Mixed. Then poured into my applicator. Set the applicator to 4 oz then connected to my hose. My front yard is pretty large so I ended up using the whole gallon of mixture. But I only used 5 ounces of the concentrated product Ed. There is 32 ounces of the concentrated product, people, which means I have 27 ounces of concentrate left! Easy peasy! I don’t understand why people ran out of the concentrate so easily. I’m fairly dumb when it comes to following directions but I did what the instructions said, watered my lawn and have plenty to do it again in a month. The 32 oz drought concentrate should be more than enough to get me through a hot, dry summer.

Helps
I live in Colorado, and drought is frequent. I’ve attached picture of before application and after 3 applications. Definitely an improvement though it didn’t fix every dry area.

Damaged the lawn
Followed instructions exactly as written and also bought a sprayer to make sure it gets evenly spread out. The advancer did absolutely nothing and we have had thunderstorms with really heavy rain this past week and while other lawns became greener mine became more yellow.. I also tried to go to turf titans website and ask them a question through email and no responses. Waste of money. Also bought the drought defense to go with this and same results. Very disappointed
