Paper Dolls Added to Project
I bought this for part of my kiddos research for third quarter project. At the time, this set was actually cheaper than just the book.Book is really for a younger child, so didn’t really help with research. However, the paper dolls were awesome to put on the poster board display. I can’t ever get a drawing to look the same on paper as in my head, and the kiddo has quite an abstract style. So this set addressed our needs perfectly, and we can donate the book.

Sweet sweet sweet
The illustrations make this book! So adorable. My 3 year old isn't quite old enough to fully understand what science is or understand the part about her husband "going away", but they really are gentle and genius with the story telling in this series that those parts aren't necessary for little ones to get the main message.

Great introduction to Marie Curie for my 2.5 year old!
This is such a beautifuly illustrated book! This board book is very basic and does not get into the specifics of Marie Curie’s contribution to the world; however, as this book is meant for very young children it is a perfect introduction for my 2.5 year old daughter. Her dad is a theoretical physicist and this book will help us teach her that the sky is the limit and she can go into a science field someday (if she so chooses) just like her dad!

Our two year old likes to read this over and over
My two year old daughter is obsessed with this book. The Little People, Big Dreams series has figured out how to write biographies that toddlers love. And we love inspiring her with stories of these strong, smart women! One of the things this book does well is show Curie when she a child, so kids can identify with her. She faces adversity, persists, and does so much for humanity. It’s a great message that allows girls to see someone like themselves succeed in science.

Text is hard to read
These are great books. However they are super hard to read at night. Brown or black text on a dark background are challenging for me to read. I can only image they are more challenging for the disabled to read. I wish the creative considered ADA a bit more.

My 9mo loves this book!
The first scientist ever to win two Nobel Prizes, and the only person in history to ever win them in two different sciences -- when I found out I would have a daughter, I wanted her to know Marie Curie's name early. This book is perfect, even for a baby. She loves the book and always plays with it.

Doesn't make any sense
Content doesn't make any sense. Not a good story line. Nothing mentioned about her birth, initial years or experiment. Just one line about what she discovered, marriage and noble prize
