Low voltage switch failed and my truck battery was drained where it would not start. I recommend you put the switch to the right position so it works with the key. You can leave it to the left (always on) but you may end up with a dead battery if you don't drive every day or every few days. My battery is in excellent condition so it's not that.

Second device sent as a replacement with same issue. It turns on with car, but shuts down after few minutes. Do not use for dash cams.
