I like it
there are a few bad reviews on this but I think its fine. the can is built OK and looks just like a gas can. Mine holds a 5# fire Extinguisher, 3' choker chain, large wheel chock, 25' tow strap, winch controls and gloves, all quite nicely. The open/close lock works fine but I will not need to lock it with my swing gate mount.I can see an issue with water potentially pooling in through the lock. There are drain holes just below the lock to allow any water that gets in to drop into the can. If you are concerned about moisture then I would keep the plastic bag the can comes in (or a heavier one) and line the container with it to keep your stuff dry until you can air it out

To lock up knives and sharp objects in my kitchen
I used this for a totally "off lable" use. For safety reasons we needed to lock up all our cutting implements in our kitchen (to protect a family member who is having some self harm mental health issues). I have a red color themed kitchen and I just put two knife blocks inside and have it on my kitchen counter. It was exactly the perfect size and what I needed. It holds all scissors, box cutters, knives, razors, etc. Our family member is getting the help they need and things are getting better. But I thought I'd share in case anyone out there is going through the same thing and needs locked storage in their home.

BEWARE OF REVIEWS FOR THE WRONG PRODUCT: 86622 is the one WITHOUT drawers
NOTE: there are at least two cans from Rampage - one with drawers and one without. This review is for the one without, item #86622.The instructions state "The Trail Can is not intended to be waterproof but includes drainage holes to allow water to escape without collecting inside if exposed to water."First of all, "if exposed to water"??!? A can that is designed to be mounted on the outside of your vehicle is most likely going to see a ton of water. However, on the one I just received on 2014-05-28 there are NO holes for drainage visible (I held it up to the light and looked inside and out and can only find one spot where there was a bad weld/unintentional gap that leaves a small slit near the bottom on the side which is surely a manufacturing error and not a drain hole as it would leave plenty of water sloshing around). Not only is there is no special moisture protection around the lid, the locking mechanism is a cupped device perfect for collecting water and draining it in to the container. Not to mention the mud, ice and snow that will collect and work in to the key slot eventually wrecking the lock mechanism.Overall, it's a clever and handy storage box - but it needs a little better fit and finish as well as a few simple design changes, like a rubber cover for the lock/latch, to make it five star worthy

Great product !
Awesome ! Havnt really used mine yet , I see daylight through some of the joints so don’t know how it will do in the elements, but can put your stuff in a bag or w/e , I like this one w/o the tool trays you can put jumper cables and all big items in it , def could be sealed up better but am happy with it so far , like I said I havnt had much use in the elements yet so don’t know how well it will hold up but seems high quality , would def reccomend , update , a few months later , still happy with them , they do get surface rust pretty quickly so I painted them tan and do get a little bit of water inside but are very cool , so as long as you don’t mind painting them and putting any items that aren’t water proof in a plastic bag you will def like this

Bottom line, over priced for the quality. But a neat item.
It’s pretty trashy. The HF Jerry cans are much better quality.Cool can, great idea. Just poorly executed. The latch often releases. I store extra fluids for the truck in it. In a locking rack, outside the truck. So I don’t need to lock the lid. It’s not water proof at all, every time I open it everything is covered in mud, from the dust that gets in and the rain. The latch, well it kinda works. Most of the time I pick it up by the handle, the lid pops open. Have to manually and carefully make sure it’s fully latched every time. The paint. It’s on the outside of my truck. Where a jerrycan should be. And the paint started flaking off in large pieces in less than 6 months.

Its amazing
I dont think I can curse here. but imagine every time I say "amazing" im saying its "_____ing amazing" this thing is amazing. It does what it says it will - and the caps from armorall wipes snap over the key lock mech and protect it from the small amount of rain ingress that happens perfectly. I painted mine yellow because i like yellow. it looks amazing. everyone says it looks amazing. A kid at my sons school said it was amazing. My sons teacher said it was amazing. They didnt curse. but you can imagine that they did if you want. Amazing
