Shimmer settles really fast in bottle.
Beautiful dark blue ink with a silver shimmer.I've been very impressed with this ink after trying it with a dip pen and fountain pen (picture is with a fountain pen)After initially using the ink I didn't see any sparkles but after a good shake there was a good concentration of the shimmer/sparkle, so if using this ink with a dip pen it is advised to shake the bottle often when using just so it doesn't settle on the bottom of the bottle.IF it is being used in a fountain pen, I suggest looking at it before writing just to see if the sparkles/shimmer has settled anywhere.

Lovely Ink
A great novelty ink which produces a charming effect. The only trouble is that you need to either flush after each use, or move your pen every day while the ink is in it -- otherwise the glitter particles will settle and may clump or clog the pen. Worth the hassle though if you're illuminating a letter to a 7-year-old niece! :-DThis particular colour is a very deep, dark blue with a fine, subtle, red sheen to it. I use a music nib to write with this ink, so plenty of it comes out onto the paper in each stroke, which doubtless increases the dark lustre. Using a nib which deposits less ink in each stroke might make for a lighter colour.

Love this!
It looks amazing, the packaging is adorable, and the shimmer is just noticeable enough to be gorgeous while not distracting from the drawing/writing/whatever. It arrived early, and I've been spending October using it to draw witches and magical creatures. It adds that extra touch to make my pictures more magical! It doesn't show up well on camera, though. Also! Make sure not to get any on your hands, it takes a lot of elbow grease and soap to get it off! I loved it.

use a broad nib pen with a good wetter ink flow
this is a beautiful ink which is lovely and shimmery. i used it in a fine nib that writes dry and I kept having to shake the pen to keep the ink flowing. had i realised it will probably be better in a broader nibbed pen with a wetter ink flow or a good old fashioned dip pen. it will be lovely for illuminated lettering and would add a lovely effect if used as a drawing ink or with a paint brush. i have given 5 stars because I cannot fault the ink. inside the box there is a guide sheet that if i had read it before using the ink i would have used a pen more suited to the ink

Beautiful ink for a halcyon writing experience
Love this ink! The shimmering effect is a little more subtle than I was expecting as my fountain pen has a fine nib, but I adore writing with it! Just always take care to REALLY shake the bottle well before you fill your pen - the gold flecks settle at the bottle of the bottle. I'm now tempted to try some of the other brighter colours

Beautiful colour!
Diamine inks are great, would highly recommend as they produce well flowing, highly pigmented inks. This shimmering ink is gorgeous, ideal for calligraphy and letter writing but you if you are using an ink well, you might need to shake the well/bottle regularly as I find the glitter settles to the bottom quite quickly and so you lose the shimmering effect.

Lovely purple, with an equally nice shimmer.
The underlying purple is darker than I'd anticipated, however it's better than I thought it would be. When properly loaded into a converter, there is lots of shimmer, especially with a wetter pen. The shimmer is not overpowering, and it looks especially stunning in a demonstrator pen. Would highly recommend.

Not very impressed with this one
The ink isn't as shimmery as I had hoped and it needs to be constantly shaken before every dip of the pen to get any shimmer on it at all as the glittery bits sink to the bottom of the bottle almost immediately, so not the best option for ink wells. I tried it in a fountain pen with a reservoir and it didn't work well with that method either. Not really suitable for my needs.
