KIARA SKYFlex Gel - Clear Nail Art Gel for Molding, Sculpting and Glam Nail Decorations - 5g

I absolutely love this flex gel. It’s amazing for adhering your full cover tips. It stays put and there’s no need to hold on to it while trying to be a contortionist getting it under the light to flash cure. I used Kiara sky builder gel originally for adhering my tips and thought it had the best staying power and i was happy with it but working fast was key and throwing it under the light quickly was key as it is with all builder gels and UV glues.I’ve tried MANY different UV gel glues as well and still KS builder was always my favorite in terms of adhesion. Never lost a nail. I also always used it for overlaying a thin coat onto my tip for strength and fill ins when i didn’t change my tips and wanted another couple of weeks out of a set. Worked terrific.Decided to give flex gel a try for adhering my tips. I still used KS builder, a thin coat, as an overlay. I am over the moon happy about the consistency of the flex gel for adhering my tips. I can see how it would also be an amazing product for 3-D nail art, which i won’t be using it for on myself. But i can definitely see how wonderful it would be for that. And if i was still doing nails for a living I’m positive that id use it for nail art as well on my clients (im licensed for way more years than i care to admit). I will however try it for adhering rhinestones on myself for my next set. It’s very sticky/thick for lack of a better descriptive. But it’s supposed to be. That’s what gives it the properties to be able to mold with ease and keep a full cover tip on your nail and in place BEFORE curing it. Zero dripping which i love.KS products that I’ve used that i think are superior: Prep. Flex gel. Builder gel (best builder gel ever). And her top coat is my fave. And i have access to all professional products at my pro beauty supply. I love her top coat the best. It’s just amazing in every way.

I wanted to try this out for my Apres gel x nails, I’m a licensed nail technician and I do my own nails also, so anything that can help me achieveThe best looking nails I like to try. This definitely was a game changer, it just doesn’t come with a lot of product. I did about 3 full sets with it and it’s almost gone. lol so I’ll stick with my apres extend gel. This would be cool to use for 3D designs because you can play with it and roll it up, it doesn’t stick to you. Just make sure it doesn’t touch any glitter or pigment because it will mix and not be clear anymore :)

I so wanted to love this solid gel. My hope was a solid gel would be more effective in avoiding gel contact with skin. I found it really difficult to get used to how much to use, the nails seemed to “float” (they were lifted off the nail) and I found myself touching the gel way more than I was comfortable with. Maybe there’s a learning curve here, but I just didn’t like the solid gel.

Ignore the other reviews they are using this product incorrectly! This product is best used to create 3D art! I used this to made a 3D flower set and it worked beautifully! Will be purchasing again.

For context, I've been doing my own gel nails since 2019. I know how to cure gel and apply my own extensions. This just never cured. No matter how thin I got the product to be, and after trying multiple lamps, this never cured all the way through. Not with flash curing, not with 60s on the lamp, not with 90s, not even after 2 of the 60s settings back to back. Super weird that it never cured and I wonder if my product was just defunct or if this is just how the product was made. Wanted to love it too! Kiara Sky is usually a hit. Disappointed but use at your own risk. I hope this review helps.

I’m undecided. I saw on tic tok it’s easy to use and I’m sure there’s a learning curve. It’s not messy which I love but… nails popped right off practically before I was done with them. Maybe I didn’t do something right. I’ll try again
