Bought to use on new chopping board. Ended up using it on smaller chopping boards and wooden spoons as wellIt coats well (you do not need too much oil). The wood grain now looks vibrant and the boards are are water repellent.

Takes a long time to dry off. Not what I expected

This is a big bottle of high quality mineral oil that used sparingly should last for years for general purpose kitchen use. The bottle has a narrow pouring tip under the child-proof lid that makes it easy to slowly drop out small amounts if you flip the bottle upside down. A little goes a long way and you only have to periodically use it to maintain your wooden utensils. My understanding is that food-grade mineral oil doesn’t go off so there is no real negative to purchasing a decent sized container of it like this.I’ve had no problems with oiliness, odd flavours, scents or tainting from this oil at all after a few weeks of use on my utensils and worn down acacia chopping board that I was contemplating replacing to be honest. This oil changed my mind and brought the like-new sheen back to it, so you can be confident & worry free in using this on your expensive end-grain chopping boards.No issues with this oil, fully recommended if you need a long-lasting supply of food-grade mineral oil for around the home. The price is a little higher than alternative brands at the moment (£16.95) so it would be nice to see it drop to a competitive level. You can quite easily grab a 2 litre bottle of mineral oil for a few quid more than this 1 litre bottle from Nordicare. Other 1 litre bottles are in the £10-15 range, so the price is the only real negative with this product. Otherwise, an excellent product that I trust to keep my chopping board in top condition.

Bought a large chopping board from that Swedish Flat Pack company, didn't realise it needed oiled, this took 3 coats to finally get it to the point where water sat on the surface, glad I bought this on as it was a 500ml, did both sides and have enough left to recoat as required.

The oil arrived in good time for me to seal some birds I had just finished. Easy to apply and dry to a nice finish

We've been very happy with this mineral oil. We are using it on our wooden chopping board and it has drastically improved the look of it, With the added bonus of protecting it also, Which is great. Happy and recommended to others.

Works well and was recieved on time

I spent 10 minutes trying to get the human proof cap off, then drilled a hole in the bottle. Seriously guys ... whats up w the bottle ?!
