The item is a simple alarm clock that isn't too bright at night. It was exactly what I needed.

I bought two of hese so called clocks.Neither of them kept to the correct time and lost minutes over a short period of hours.These are by far the worst product that I have ever bought and they were quickly returned. Avoid like the plague.

This is a nice basic alarm clock from Chinese Manufacturer VOOKI.It is a very simple device; no bells and whistles, simply the time in big red LEDs and an alarm function with a snooze button. The instructions are fairly good, but you shouldn't honestly need them. There is the option of inserting a 9V battery for backup if the the power fails.I have knocked one star off for two reasons;1. The speaker is strangely placed on the bottom of the device; this means that the alarm sound is going to be muffled as this thing is likely going to be sitting on your bedside cabinet. An odd choice of location, but the alarm is fairly loud so may not be an issue for you.2. When setting the time (or alarm time), you can either press the hour/minute button repeatedly or hold it down to change the digits; when holding it down it is quite slow, but when pressing repeatedly, I found it often skipped digits. For example I was setting the time to 11.40; rapid presses of the minute button counted up from 00 to 40, however on reaching 39 the next press jumped forward to 41. I tried it a second time and the same thing happened.These are minor points though; the unit seems solid and very easy to use with a tiny footprint.Thanks for listening.

The time was inaccurate. How a digital clock can run slow is a mystery but they managed it. Don't bother with this alarm clock!!
