I have arthritis in my neck and have struggled for years to find just the right pillow. I’ve purchased from sleep stores, chiros, you name it, water pillows, foam chunks, rubber, feather, gel….you get the point. I’m only 55 but sleeping on the wrong pillow has a negative effect on my sleep and causes headaches and neck pain/stiffness for days. I start the night sleeping on my side and then my back. This pillow is great for that! Your shoulder fits in and there is a place for your arm(which was always a comfort issue). Now add in a CPAP machine and this pillow is perfect for me!! I take it everywhere now.

Thus is my 2nd pillow of this style. I had to go through a few Amazon returns of others to find another keeper. This one by HOMCA is lightweight yet still medium firmness. It provides a place for my hand if my arm is up by my face when I sleep on my side. It also has a cooling feature, which seems to be helping with the menopause hot flashes. It fits a standard pillow case.

Soft yet supportive; takes some adjustment but worth the effort! This pillow was recommended by the professional working to solve my neck problem. Success!!

My curiosity regarding their potential usefulness has so piqued my interest that, after extensive research of them on Amazon's vast number of marketing webpages, I settled on a few of them since they all seem to possess their own individual features. This particular one, currently under my review, indeed comes with its own set of appurtenances, and, after extensive use and testing, I've isolated my following noteworthy observations, and they are as follows:1) First of all, this product, as do most of these types of innovative pillows, purports to amply accommodate a 'stomach sleeper'. Well, I sincerely doubt that assertion as I dare say that, anyone with their nose facing downward into the modest, center-located, dedicated depression in the pillow's foam-core, would 'suffocate' - - as there's no included bottom 'air outlet' for breathing purposes. So, IMO, you can immediately strike that feature 'off the list', as I still cannot fathom how all the vendors of this type of item can possibly foster the idea of someone ever sleeping 'face-down' on one of these pillows.If, by chance, you happen to alternatively and stubbornly sleep on your stomach with your head and neck twisted at a highly unrecommended 90° angle (which would be sure to make any chiropractor wince and grimace), you might want to re-consider such a questionable endeavor.So much for the only real 'negative vibe' I can ascribe to this product...and now for some of the truly beneficial aspects of it...2) Comes with a high-density, 'slow-rebound' PU (poly urethane) foam core that can gradually adjust to the user's neck and head. It's a definite "no-no" to attempt to dump the entire pillow assembly into a washing machine, as the foam core is simply not made for submersion incidents.7) Price-point-wise, if you factor in the additional 10% Amazon vendor discount, the resultant net price of this item settles in at just about the middle-level among all the other Amazon competitors' price offerings.
