Too Big.
I was very excited about these. I was finally ready to come to terms with it all and wanted to look a little nicer but the beaded ones were just too big and no way to fix it. The fabric ones were more comfortable then the ones I get from the DEM company so I am ising that.

Good idea but too big
These washable reusable trach ties are something I have been looking for. I'm tired of the waste from my disposable trach ties, plus these are much prettier. So great idea!!! But they are too large for me. They are adjustable, yes, but they only adjust to a bigger size. I don't know who the people are who wear these, but they must have big necks. The smallest the cloth ties will go is 12½ inches. (I need one no more than 11½ inches.) The beaded trach ties are even larger! I measured the smallest adjustment at 16½ inches. So I have no idea how to use them without cutting them up and restringing them with less beads. Since I don't see well and I have arthritis in my hands, I don't see that happening soon.

way too long
I have a fat neck and the beaded ones were way too long even on the shortest link. Had to take one apart and remove at least 5 beads for it to fit on the shortest link. Then the links to the large lobster claw that clip on either side of the tracheostomy faceplate rusted within 2 days of wear because like most trach patients, I wear a mist mask for at least 8 hours a day. So I spent more money to order stainless steel fittings and claw clasps, and fishing line to re thread them all and it all just sits unmade and currently unusable.

Not as durable as expected
The beaded chain broke really easy and the Velcro holder gets stuck to my hair really bad. They are all really cute I just wish I was able to actually use them like I wanted to.

As someone who has worked with tracheotomy patients, this product looks dangerous.
I really don't recommend putting small beads next to a tracheotomy site. If the string or thread breaks if a bead gets into the neck cavity that could injure the patient.Not ok.
