Very nice set. Holds a good edge and very well crafted

The knife set was an awesome birthday gift for my dad! They are crazy sharp! The company claims that it is made from Japanese stainless steel, even though I can't confirm the origin, but they feel super high-quality and obviously crazy sharp. The wooden knife block not only looks cool, but it's perfect for keeping all the knives organized, as there are so many of them. He's been using them for a couple of weeks now and absolutely loves them. They're really comfortable and easy to grip, he even showed off this past weekend, the whole Gordon Ramsey knife sharpen thing. Looking at the quality, I would say that they're just as good as those fancy, expensive brand name knives at fraction of the cost. Highly recommended for all home cooks out there!

I bought these just over a month ago. For the price, I didn't have very high expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised when they arrived - they were VERY sharp, the knife block is well designed and made of a composite material that doesn't seem absorbent or germ-friendly like a traditional wooden block, and the channels go all the way through so they get air and can drain even if a wet knife is inserted (though you really shouldn't be putting the knives in the block when they're wet).I was concerned that, for the low cost, the edge wouldn't hold, but they've been used pretty heavily for the past month (including by my kids), and they're all still very sharp.I've started recommending these knives to everyone, and I don't think you can find a better set for this cost.Edit: My daughter used one of the knives to cut foam for a school project, and it was as dull as could be after that horrific misuse. I feel like it took a bit longer to get a really honed edge than my last set of knives, but once it was sharpened again, it was as good as new and is cutting like a champ again.

This knife set is superb. Great quality perfectly balanced and great finish. They have very good edge and stay sharp for ages! Finally they look excellent. I highly recommend these knives.
