nostalgic
The two cans arrived in excellent condition and came in a box. Inside they were together but loose in a clear plastic bag. No tape! It was 100 degrees today and they still arrived in perfect condition. Nothing melted. Perfectly fresh. They are not individually wrapped, but I knew that upon ordering. Yes, they're called sour balls, but I think they taste just like a regular Charms lollipop - I think that's how they always were when I was a kid. Who can remember, exactly - I hate anything sour, so it's not likely they were ever sour. These make excellent gifts for anyone who had them as a kid.I would buy these again. Big hit with the elderly family members I gifted them to (and the kids who raided them!).

They aren't sour. They just use "sour" flavors.
If you like dum dums or lolipops but hate that they have a stick, like me, this is great. If you like sour stuff it's pretty mid. A really sweet lemon flavor isn't sour just because lemons are sour. I was hoping for a milder better tasting version of Warheads and instead got tootsie roll pops without the tootsie roll or the stick(its literally what they are Charms is owned by Tootsie the candy tastes exactly the same) which isn’t a bad thing they just arent sour. There isnt a drop of malic acid in these candy balls, it feels like false advertising to call them sour when they really aren't. That's my only dissapointment with these, when I bought these I was just looking for lollipops without the stick and saw the original but also saw the sour and I love sour candies finding sour hard candies is difficult and Warheads are the main commercial sour hard candy, they have always been way too sour so sucking on them meant melting your tounge and the candy part wasn't any good once you finished melting the top layers off you're tounge, it doesnt crunch properly and it tastes oily, I was expecting this to be the middle ground but it's just normal hard candy to me. Still good just not sour in my opinion. 4/5

A little taste of nostalgia
They are slightly sour but still good. They remind me of growing up and my Dad bringing them home. They are NOT individually wrapped as stated in the product specs.

Happily some things never change .
Being a big Kid I still have an incredible sweet tooth, especially for the candies that I enjoyed as a child. Anyone in my age group 50 + can surely relate, finding that many things we enjoyed as kids sadly have changed ,Unfortunately not for the better .The Charms candy company does not disappoint .These sour balls are exactly as I remembered, bringing back many fond childhood memories .They smell and taste will make you feel ten years old again .The only complaint that I have is the price. In my opinion it is a bit steep which I feel will deter some customers from purchasing them .Hopefully the charms candy company can remedy this in the future So that everyone can enjoy them .

Why skimping on the reds?
I’ve loved these since childhood. I consider them among the best hard candies. That’s why I give them 5 stars. But I’ve been really disappointed that recent cans are very shy on reds— a scant handful (if you have very small hands). Anyway, I will not give them up
