PGA Tour Golf Essentials Set - Blue

This is a fairly compact gift set designed for new and novice golfers, made to the specification of the PGA, otherwise known as the Professional Golf Association, who are the organization which controls and regulates the European Tour. So, the name is impressive and will make you feel good, and give you some confidence which is such a big part of game. It is probably better to advertize the PGA brand than carry around the ubiquitous logos of the big sports equipment manufactures. The pack contains 2 golf balls of reasonable quality, but you will need far more than that, as you soon start losing them in the rough and water hazards… still it is enough to get you started. However, if you want to practice on the putting greens you will need at least a couple of dozen. The kit comes packed in a pouch which is not too large, so it is easily portable around the course and even has a clip which will fit onto your buggy or clubs bag. The alignment tool with its pen, and the poker chip ball marker, are hardly essentials, but are nevertheless useful. Other true essentials are the five coloured wooden tees, 3 red, 1 blue, 1 white, and the divot restoration tool, made in stainless steel so that it doesn’t’ rust. They are all well made and very useful. The DVD, which plays for about 40 minute, is a welcome addition and, tutored by the PGA Academy chief instructor, it is valuable in giving you the basics of the game, which even seasoned amateurs would do well to watch through, since everyone has flaws in their swing. The demonstrations by this experienced coach will definitely help you improve your basic golf techniques.

If you can't watch the dvd it does not matter as it is include "Free"The dvd is almost 40 minutes of tips for the newbie. It shows how to use a driver, getting out of bunkers, chipping and putting. To be honest it is all common sense stuff for even a total novice.

The golf balls are inscribed with PGA logo a so are the rest of the contents including the pouch. Basically this is a PGA product so for golfers and fans of the PGA this will make a great buy and a great gift.

The bag has a clip for your belt, and has a secure inner pocket as well as the main pocket.The DVD was nice, nothing that will will rely improve your game unless you have never picked up a club before. Note - that this DVD provided is a mini-DVD and will not play in some players.Overall a good little kit.

Smaller than expected, but packed with useful bits for the golf amateur, and all under the PGA mark, you can;'t go wrong with this as a gift.
