Thats fine and it could be used on most jobs or every day . I haven't found any problems with this plainer.

Yes, it is easy you just have to open the screw that holds the blade in place and sharpen the blade as per need and put it back into the place using the screw. The screw also helps to adjust the position of the blade as per your need.
