Must Read! Fixed Clinical Bad Insomnia!!
JUST love this. Bought it at £24.94. Never thought I’d use the radio function. I basically have this on all day. Found a classical music channel and can wake up to some amazing music and before bed too! The brightness WORKS. It’s brighter than my bulb by a ton hurts to look at with its max sunrise brightness. It’s a bit confusing for around 3 days and then very easy to handle. I can’t say I use the normal ringtone alarms but they are good. Repeat a bit too quickly but I have the radio just automatically turn on instead and an unlimited range of whatever I want. Way better than a phone alarm by miles, better than being woken up by someone, waking up to water in your face, to turning on your rooms light, I’ve tried hundreds of methods to sleep with sleep problems. This is 100% the best. I even put a phone in a safe before and would hide the key in another room so I’d be forced to wake up and retrieve it. Honestly this alarm clock is the best. I wake up with no headache, no being annoyed just peace. You can set the noise to whatever you want it to be + the sunlight. The radio channel I have is classical music and it plays ranges from very nice peaceful almost lofi music to strong. Occasionally a person will talk for a bit before the next song starts from around 3-10 seconds. Helps to wake up, I hear people and brain wakes up to understand what they are saying plus music which isn’t too loud repetitive or quiet. It’s perfect and always different. I have the alarms brightness to max which is level 20 and it’s like a flash bang. I sleep with it at arms reach to me. However I can confidently say it should light up a room fully however works best to have it next to you around arms or more reach then as soon as you wake up have the radio play automatically (set that before) and stare into the light for 3-5 minutes non stop if it’s hard at first. Your brain will code its time to wake up then in some time and as long as you go to sleep and wake up at the same times everyday you should stop needing to do that, my brain has never woke up naturally at the same times before however it’s dead easy here. This alarm is a miracle honestly. You can set the sunlight and alarms and the radio to all play when the alarms come on. You can have the alarms set from everyday to just weekends or week days.I will also note good to have your room blacked out with fully blacked out curtains and an hour before sleep buying red glasses and wearing them whilst reading a book with no electronics. You will tell your brain to go to sleep with red colours and you’ll wake up naturally by looking at white. It’s like talking to your brain. Once you get into a routine I’d say that’s the best combo ever those 3.

Best thing I've ever had!!!
Firstly, the quality of the product was extraordinary! It was very easy to set up, even though I am only ten. I have also got one very, very important thing to say. DO NOT CUT THE WIERD WIRE AT THE BACK, or you will have no radio signal. It was fairly easy to use as well. The light was very good and went up to an extremely high light, which is good for reading stuff. I also found the light very good for waking up.I found the sleep mode very helpful and calming. The light dims as time passes and eventually turns off when the time is up. The timer can be set from 10mins - 2hrs.The sound quality was fairly good, the radio was working perfectly (although you shouldn't use it to wake you up. It will just weave its way into your dream), although there wasn't a large range of noises to choose from, so I found the radio much more entertaining than a series of noises repeated on an on and on...Overall, the product was practically perfect. It was worth the money! I would recommend it to others! (I've already recommended it to my friend!)

Replace wall plug for safety! Else good sunrise alarm, esp. for the price. Pros & cons to brand one
Firstly, I used to have a Phillips one for several years before. When it broke this year, I needed a cheaper option. Now after a few months of using it, I can give a comprehensive review. My overall verdict is that this is actually a really good clock with many of the same features the Phillips models have! It wakes you up by slowly increasing the light until a pre-defined time when it reaches the pre-set brightness and can play a pre-set sound. I use the radio feature and the antennae is good enough to deliver a clear radio signal. It is easy to set and use and makes for a good bedside lamp, especially if you like reading at a dimmed light. It does the same job as the branded one. In some aspects it even does a better job (in some a worse). There are a few things I thought are actually better than in my previous Phillips model:1) The buttons are arranged in a similar manner, but they actually stick out a bit which makes them much easier to operate! (they were flush in the brand model).2) You can actually set two alarms!3) It is a lot less bulky on the bedside table as it doesn't have such a bulky back.4) one of the best features is that it has a battery! While it won't operate as such on battery, it does save your settings and the time when the power is cut! Mine was unplugged for several days and when I plugged it back in, all the settings were still as I had programmed them and I did not have to reset the time! This is such a good feature! Especially if you ever experience a power cut - you won't oversleep the next day.5) you can set the duration of the "sunrise" manually, my branded one always did the same period. The areas it performed not as good as the branded one:1) the alarm turns off after 15 minutes and that really needs to change in any future versions! I use light and radio and sometimes like to continue listening to the radio a bit when getting ready, and using the lamp as a light. 15 minutes is nowhere near enough as an alarm length.2) the sound quality on anything but the standard bird sounds and the radio is truly awful. But I don't mind I wouldn't use any of the other options.3) when setting the alarm, the light makes it impossible to see the setting options when you reach the settings for the light brightness and sunrise duration.4) you can't turn off only the sound bit of the alarm - if you want the light to stay on, you have to go all dark and then activate the lamp separately again. Minor issue but annoying. Especially with snoozing I used to like keeping the light on and only putting the sound on snooze because it helped me wake up better. But not with this one.5) This one is an actual concern and a potential safety issue (but easy enough to fix so didn't take off more than 1 star) - the plug adapter is a cheap Chinese one that has an audible arcing issue! This can potentially cause a fire and really really should not happen! Might not be all of them, but for MONTHS I thought there was some train-track repair safety alarm all night near my house. I constantly heard a far off alarm like a car alarm or a house alarm, varying between two patterns. It drove me crazy! One day, I thought to unplug the clock and sure enough, the alarm stopped! I had already considered writing to the council to figure out where the noise pollution comes from!! But since the cable itself is a USB cable, using another higher-quality USB to wall socket adapter did away with the issue.I should probably have given it 3 stars for this potential safety issue, but I feel it is easy enough to fix and I think this is a really good buy, and twice so for the price.
