The best purchase I have made in a very long time
I have two cold compost piles out back. It takes forever for organic matter to break down. It’s winter. I am too lazy anymore to traipse out there several times a week to toss my organic matter. I have seen these machines advertised but I wasn’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars for a machine to make compost. But when I saw this machine, read the reviews, saw how easy it is to use and how relatively inexpensive it is I bought this for a gift to myself for Christmas! It is so easy to use, just the right size, (mine is on the floor) and nearly silent. I use it several times a week, at night. It reduces waste to a fraction of the amount that otherwise would rot in a landfill, and turns it into a bug and disease free organic material for use in the spring! It’s also sturdy and well made, easy to use and maintain, and for a gardener it’s magic! I highly recommend it.

Thumbs up on this item!
I’m really liking this “composter”. I have been using it for all my kitchen organic waste and it does a great job of condensing into a very small amount of dry, rich organic matter. Since it uses heat and grinding to break down the waste, I wouldn’t exactly call it composting, as I don’t think that there is much bacterial activity going on in the process. There are 2 people in our household and we cook most every day. After about 4 months I have gathered about 1 gallon of the dried, condensed organic matter and will use it in my flower gardens this spring. It doesn’t hold a huge amount of material, but I wait until it’s full to run it. It does have a slight, but not unpleasant odor. Noise is not terribly noticeable. We did move it into the garage, since it can take a while (4 hours) to cycle through a full bucket of kitchen waste. Overall, I’m very pleased with this product!

Machine does exactly what it says it does!
This countertop composter arrived quickly and set up was easy, intuitive. It does exactly what it says it does--turns your food waste scraps into a dry sawdust consistency powder. I waited awhile before trying bones, but got brave and tried it since everything else had dried and shrunk down so nicely. Did about half the bones in a roasted chicken and that batch (with other food scraps mixed in) dried to powder like substance like everything else. I don't think I'd try a ham hock or big steak bone however. I mix my "compost" in to a soil mixture I keep in a large trash bin in back yard. Others have said you need to mix it with a healthy amount of soil for stuff to grow. My only unanswered question is where to get the replacement charcoal you can hear rattling in the cover door when you open it. I know it's important to the table top composting process, and I know I'll eventually need to replace it. All in all, I'm glad to be composting my food scraps and adding less greenhouse gases to the atmosphere by eliminating raw garbage waste. I always end up with too much food when cooking for one while trying to maintain a balanced diet.

worked well two times then nothing heated up
The composter worked great TWICE after that it never heated up again and left a slimy, mess in the kettle. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone at Jopisin to find out what to do with it!

Easy to use and Efficient!
This has been the best housewarming gift I could have received! It is small and compact. It does the job in a short amount of time. It is perfect for me since I don't usually have much food left over but I save my scraps, coffee grounds, and eggshells. I typically fill up the bin and do the 6 hours. I always do it at night so that when I wake up it is ready. I also set this up in my garage. I didn't have the space to leave it in my kitchen. It does give off a slight odor so it's best in my garage. Great and easy machine to use. I don't have a green thumb although I do try. It has been fun spreading this fertilizer all over my yard, bushes, and trees.

Good Composter
A good composter. Perfect size for the counter. Works well. The bucket inside is a good size and has a handle to take the compost to add to my plants. It takes about 5 hrs to turn food waste to compost. No subscription needed. When it's on, you can smell it's working. It doesn't smell like compost just a drying smell. I use it all the time.

Saving Food!
Can’t find any replacement filters for this product. This product breaks down my food with the heat and reduces the volume! I feel so much better being able to put my waste in here and then use it for my outdoor area while living at the dorm. However, after a few uses the charcoal smell is very strong so I may start putting it outside once it warms up. Additionally, I would only recommend this for people who can’t have a composter as a composter is more sustainable than the electric version. Overall, I am very happy being able to save food from the trash and repurpose this for fertilizer.
